He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank I Mangum Sr. and Juanita Emerson Mangum; and his sisters, Marilyn Heilman and Gloria Berthelsen. He is survived by: his wife Zaida Estes Mangum; his children, Tracy Mitchell Auld, Cynthia Cederhotm and Edward "Todd" Mitchell (Tammy "TJ"); his grandchildren, Jaden Auld and Taylor Guevara (Gustavo Guevara); his great grandchildren, Jax and Luke Guevara; and his siblings-in-law, James A. Estes (Vicki), Julie Estes Suber (Bill) and Jackie Estes Lytle (Richard Lytle).
A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at 1:15 PM at the Houston National Cemetery (10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038).
