Opal Taylor Shaw Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 14, 2025, at the age of 93, Opal Taylor Shaw (Decatur, Texas) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her significant other John Robert Shaw; and her sisters, Juanita Taylor Staton and Frankie Taylor McCrary. She is survived by: her children, Pam, Monte Shaw (Debbie) and Tony Shaw (Leah); her grandchildren, Christian, Rebekah, Thomas (Emily), Joseph (Haley), Mercy, John (Allison), Carter and Allison; and her great grandchildren, Avery, James, Truett, Valor and Gideon. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (1200 Preskitt Rd, Decatur, TX 76234). A reception will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Fellowship Hall at First Baptist Church (1200 Preskitt Rd building 100, Decatur, TX 76234).
