He is survived by: his daughters, Susan Gómez (Chuck) of Decatur and Tara Smith (Brad) of Rockwall; his grandchildren, Charity Roden, Harrison Taylor, Sydnie Diffee (Dillon), Addison Taylor, Annabel Gómez, Meagan Gómez, Jacob Roden and Jaime Roden; his siblings, Winston Smith (Barbara) and Sandra Rowland; and his friend Sandy Choate. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins.
