He was predeceased by: his parents, Andy Rubert and Lena Franklin (Eggenberg); and his grandson Brian Weston Smith. He is survived by: his wife Christine LaJuan Cato of Ft. Worth; his children, Glory Cato (Pat Broyles) and Brett Cato (Melissa) of Niceville, Florida; his stepchildren, Kristin Gilbert and Bodie Gilbert; his sister Jan Walker (Rick); his grandchildren, Kyra Peters, Anna Smith, Dakota Cato and Aaron Cato; and his great grandchildren, Liara Vie Peters, William Aidan Chadwell Smith and Scarlet Aurora Cato.
