He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnnie Dan and Odessa Colley (Love); his siblings-in-law, John, Lorine Gerdes, Leroy Telg, R. J. Smith and Terry Vermillion; and his son-in-law William Budnik.
He is survived by: his wife Deborah Lee Gerdes; his daughters, Mary (Doug Dean) and Jessica (Jason Muzny); his grandchildren, Shelia Budnik (Tanner Hurt), Madyson Muzny, Kymber Dean (Jerry Aleman), Weston Muzny and Dalton Dean (Danielle Parmer); his sisters, Beverly Telg and Kay Colley; his sister-in-law Barbara Smith; his nephews, Daniel Telg, John Smith and Chris Smith; and his niece Lisa Smith. He is also survived by 4 great nieces and 1 great nephew, numerous other extended family and friends.
