He is survived by: his wife Sandi Balcar; his daughter Stephanie Ann Dawson (Gary Young); his stepdaughter Shannon Ledesma; his siblings, Thomas Dawson, Billy Joe Dawson (Barbara), Dewayne Dawson, Charles Dawson (Rose Ann), Frances Wilkerson (Billy Joe), Joyce Ann Dawson and Fay Parker (Troy); his grandchildren, Korey Beatty, Kyle Beatty, Taylor, Tyler, Tanner Dawson and Secilia Salzmann; his great grandchildren, Kyran Beatty and Eli Beatty; his siblings-in-law, Suzie Lindke and Pistol Balcar (Pattie); and the mother of his children Paula Dawson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
