She was predeceased by: her parents, James Rufus Otwell and Mattie Lillian Nabors Otwell; her husband Robert Stanley Skaggs; and her brothers, Willie Wayne Otwell, James McCoy Otwell, Nathan Troy Otwell and Edward Haynes Otwell.
She is survived by: her sons, James R. Skaggs and Robert Paul Skaggs (Diana); and her grandchildren, Robert Michael Skaggs, Stephen Wayne Skaggs, James Jarrett Skaggs, Mark Timothy Skaggs and Shelley Dyan Skaggs. She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and other extended family.
