He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Pawpaw; his wife Kathy Dawkins; his daughter Kimberly Hill; his grandchildren, Justin Gonzales, Kiefer Wilson, Allison Ferris, Wyatt Wilson and Jacie Hill; his great grandchildren, Noah Ferris, Arthur Ferris and Elizabeth Wilson; and his siblings, Billy J. Wilson and Nita Gonzales. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews; and other extended family.
