She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacinto Gonzalez and Ildefonsa Villanueva; her sister Irene Gonzalez Villanueva; and her son Marcial Mendez. She is survived by: her husband Silvestre Mendez Bautista of De Kalb, Texas; and her children, Juana Mendez (Luz Flores), Helenne (James Sipes), Maria Rios Mendez of Malta, Angela Mendez of New Boston, Sue Sanchez (Atanacio Sanchez), Gregorio Mendez (Filiberta Olivo), Casimiro Mendez of De Kalb, Texas, Veneta Lummus of Atlanta, Phillip Mendez of De Kalb, Texas and Jacob Mendez of De Kalb, Texas. She is also survived by 25 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.
