With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ray Shumake of De Kalb, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 3, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Shumake and Bessie Proctor Shumake; his wife Linda Bates Shumake; and his brother Gay Shumake. He is survived by: his siblings, Max Shumake of De Kalb, Boyd Wayne (Judy Shumake), David (Nancy Shumake) and Shirley Shumake of De Kalb, Texas; and his godchildren, Joe, Charlie, Manuel and Marleigh. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
