It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martha Ellen Jones (De Kalb, Texas), born in New Boston, Texas, who passed away on June 21, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Charlie McDonald and Hattie Lois Tensley McDonald; her husband Walter Jones; her sons, Cecil Smith, Ricky Jones and Carrol Dar Jones; and her siblings, James, Butch, Hershell, Frank McDonald, Josephine and Lucille McDonald.

She is survived by : her daughter Pamela; her son-in-law David Tutt of Gilmer, Texas; her son Randal; her daughter-in-law Christy Smith of Gladewater, Texas; and her sisters, Laverne (Bennie Brown) and Sandra (George Taylor). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 9 great-great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, June 25th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Bates Family Funeral Home (601 E Front St, De Kalb, TX 75559). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, June 25th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
