He is survived by: his wife Renau Garner of De Kalb, Texas; his children, Missy (Lane Brehears), Jennifer Garner of Hot Springs, Arkansas and Christopher "Buddy" Garner of Texarkana, Texas; his grandchildren, Tyler and Tate Breshears; and his great grandchildren, Deklan and Ramsi Tate Breshears.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bates Family Funeral Home (601 E Front St, De Kalb, TX 75559). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
