He was predeceased by: his parents, Foster Hayes and Wyola Maddox Barling of Montana; his brothers, Robert Barling and Meredith "Tex" Barling; and his wife Doris Barling of De Kalb, Texas.
He is survived by: his son Kerry Scott; his daughter-in-law Mary Barling of Versailles, Kentucky; his daughter Kayla Ann; his son-in-law Steve Harbour of New Boston, Texas; his brother Mont Ian (Annette Barling); his nephew Ronnie Dale Ramsey of De Kalb, Texas; and his grandchildren, Thomas Newton Barling (Priscilla), Rebecca Ann Barling, Kyle Matthew Martin (Samantha), Klay Thomas Martin (Whitney), Klint James Martin and Sheldon Lewis Harbour (Ashley). He is also survived by six great grand children; and numerous other relatives and friends.
