It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gilbert Dale Rankin of De Kalb, Texas, who passed away on June 10, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Gilbert Dale Rankin to pay them a last tribute.

As we bid Gilbert Dale farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Gilbert Dale is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Evan Jacob and Jessie Ballard Rankin; his wife Flora Edwards Rankin; and his son Jeremy Shane Rankin. He is survived by : his sons, Kevin Rankin of De Kalb and Russel (Rachel Rankin); his sisters, Helen (Wayne Rhea) and Hazel Jean Love of De Kalb, Texas; his grandchildren, Robbie Rankin, Railey Rankin, Jacob Holbrook and Madison Holbrook; and his great grandchild Hailey Crawford. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.

A graveside service was held on Saturday, June 15th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Woodmen Cemetery (601 E Front St, De Kalb, TX 75559).
