We bid farewell to Deveda Lou Foster of De Kalb, Texas, born in Hooks, Texas, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 1, 2024 at the age of 97. Deveda Lou touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by : her parents, Arther Jessie and Gladys Walraven Thrapp; her husband Charlie J. Foster; her son Charles W. Foster; and her siblings, J. W. Thrapp, Ray Thrapp and Bonnie Hornbuckle.

She is survived by : her son John Moreland Foster (Candace) of Simms, Texas; her sisters, Wanda Barajas of Dalby Springs and Patsy Staggs of Dalby Springs, Texas; her grandchildren, Punky Foster (Ericka) of Simms, Barry Foster (Danielle) of Barstow, Nina Nittinger (Josh) of College Station, Chase Foster-Dezi of Gorman, Austin Ezell-Foster of De Kalb and Aaden Ezell-Foster of De Kalb, Texas; and her great grandchildren, Braxton Foster, Dominic Nittinger and Miguel Nittinger. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 6th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Bates Family Funeral Home (601 E Front St, De Kalb, TX 75559).
