He was predeceased by: his parents, Nathan Churchill and Eula Mae Churchill (Caddenhead); his son David Ira Churchill; and his brother W. C. "Dub" Churchill. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Spinks Churchill; his children, Tracie Burkhalter (Paul) of Avery, Texas and Michael Churchill (Missy) of Hooks, Texas; his siblings, Leroy Churchill, Mary Sue Alexander of Rutledge and Nelda Adams (Odell) of Wake Village, Texas; his grandchildren, Tabitha Churchill, Caleb Burkhalter, Christopher Churchill (Darcy), Joel Burkhalter, Logan Churchill (Charla), Krista Churchill and Ariah Burkhalter; and his great grandchildren, Stetson May, Kinzlee Churchill, Kamri Churchill, Spencer Churchill, Titus Burkhalter, Isaiah Burkhalter and Galadriel "Ellie" Burkhalter. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
