It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Benny Gay Shumake of De Kalb, Texas, born in Dallas, Texas, who passed away on October 7, 2020, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Orris Gay and Ruby Pauline Wallace Shumake; and his nephew Daniel Granbery. He is survived by: his daughter Alicia Shumake; his son-in-law Justin Mullins of De Kalb, Texas; his siblings, Annette Kinney of De Kalb, Texas and Jacky; his sister-in-law Kelly Shumake of De Kalb, Texas; and his grandchildren, Taylor Mullins, Jaycob Mullins and Raylee Mullins. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and numerous other family members and friends.
