It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Jewell Smith of De Kalb, Texas, born in Bryan, Texas, who passed away on December 27, 2020, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Benjamin and Antonia Lee Coufal Phelps; her husband Chuck Smith; and her son Charles Bradley. She is survived by: her children, Dusti Nolan of Nevada, Missouri, Tammy Herndon of Washington, Danette Piland of Wasilla and Bobbie (Thomas Butcher); her brothers, Johnny Phelps, Larry (Rosa Phelps), Ronnie (Jackie Phelps) and Scottie (Hila Phelps); and her grandchildren, Charlie Butcher, Gracie Butcher and J. T. Butcher. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
