She was predeceased by: her mother Anastasia of Jesus Funez; her siblings, Victor Funez and Blanca Otilia Carbajal (Manuel Antonio Lazo); and her daughter Mildre Merari Lazo. She is survived by: her children, Josué Israel Lazo, Manuel David Lazo, Martha Damaris Contreras Lazo and Antonio Nathanael Lazo; and her grandchildren, Josué Israel Lazo Jr., Amanda Lamar Molina Griffin, Kaleb Jonathan, Elias Avimelec Lazo, David Eliu Lazo, Fernando Isai Contreras, Juan Carlos Lazo, Rebecca Nicole Lazo, Isaac Jonathan Contreras, Matthew David Lazo, Abigail Celeste Lazo, Sarai Elizabeth Lazo and Isaias Benjamin Contreras.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Sterling Funeral Homes - Dayton (602 N Main St, Dayton, TX 77535). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Palms Memorial Park (2421 N Hwy 146, Dayton, TX 77535).
