He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Benson Kirby and Blanche Esther Neese Kirby; his brother Richard Kent Kirby; and his brother-in-law Norman "Santa Claus" Mikrut. He is survived by: his wife Diana Kirby; his children, Norma Kirby (Ricky Finley) of Mt. Belvieu, Bethany Stewart of Livingston, Krystal Rogers (Chris) of Dayton, Diana Higgins (Thomas) of Dayton, Richard Kirby (Maritza) of Santa Fe and Joey Kirby (Cindy) of Mt. Belvieu; his sisters, Brenda Detert (Gary) and Katherine Mikrut; his grandchildren, Preston, Michael, Wessley, Felicia, Megan, Brittany, Hayley, Chance, Natassia, Brandon, Brice, Kane, Ryan, Payton, Kadyn, Karsyn and Konnor; and his close friend Nancy Hegland. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
