She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnnie Newton Pannell and Beulah Mae Justice Pannell; her husband Julian Carter Christie; and her brothers, William Pannell, Ray Pannell, Von Pannell and Roger Pannell.

She is survived by: her daughters, Marjorie Whisenant (Stephen), Julia Duncan (Johnnie) and Anna Connelly (Neil); her siblings, Fran Leiter, Dorothy Kirksey, Jo Carol Lewis (Carl), Gordon Pannell, Winston Pannell (Patricia) and Mark Pannell (Becky); her grandchildren, Stephanie Johnson (Scott), Cheryl Sides (Tom), Christie Zadrapa (Chris), Tami Ankrom (Craig), Alicia Dearborn (Barry), Victoria Bond (Mike) and Madeline Connelly; and her siblings-in-law, Ted Christie and Ginny Christie. She is also survived by eight great-grandsons and six great-granddaughters.
