It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leon Wilson Sr. in Dayton, Texas, born in Houston, Texas, who passed away on October 31, 2024, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Wilson and Joyce Perkins Wilson; his siblings, Steve Wilson and Anita Brown; and his parents-in-law, Irene Mjos and Einar Mjos.
He is survived by: his wife Amanda Wilson; his son Leon Wilson, II (Amber); his stepdaughter Kristy Barker (James); his grandchildren, Carson Wilson, Chase Wilson, Kodi Casey and Austin Barker; his brother Robert Bolin; and his father-in-law Jean Johnson. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and numerous friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Dayton Community Center (801 S Cleveland St, Dayton, TX 77535). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the Wilson family asks that donations be made to the Dayton Police Department and the Dayton Volunteer Fire Department.
