He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnie Michael Smith and JoAnn Ferguson; his former wife Judy; and also David Lear. He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Jeannene Smith; his son Joshua M. Smith; his stepchildren, Natalie Roper, Austin Roper, Nora Higgins, Jolene Amburn, Angelea Little and Patricia Powers; and his brothers, Tom Smith (Jaimie), Keith Smith (Kesa) and Scott Smith (Katina).
