He was predeceased by: his parents, Eva Lee Gregory Unkel and Leo Paul Unkel; his sister Louise Miles (Kenneth); his great grandchild Jeremiah Ellis Minnaar; and his parents-in-law, Myrtle Derrick Walker and Edgar Patterson Walker.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Unkel; his daughters, Betty Unkel, Donna Dugat (Anthony), Barbara Reed and Debbie Coulliette (James); his grandchildren, Kasey Mobley (Jason), Kelby Reed (Kristin), Tara Harris (Andrew), Candice Mize (Dean), Karly Scott (Jerry), Maegan Minnaar (Dewaldt), Philip Dugat (Katelyn), Mason Dugat and Tagen Coulliette; his great grandchildren, Raegan and Rylan Mobley; his grandchildren, Heidi, Norah, Eloise, Gabrielle Reed, Joshua, Noah, Luke Harris, Naomi, Micah, Esther Mize, Aubrey, Allie Scott, Lexi Minnaar and Simon Dugat; and his sisters-in-law, Jan Dickson (Gene), Pat Carpenter (Kirk) and Laverne Koletich. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
