He is survived by: his wife Rheba Nell Downey; his children, Lisa Cox (Eddy) and Steven Downey; his siblings, Gary Downey (Lynn) and Mary Josey; his grandchildren, Corey Cox (Sarah), Casey Cox and Chase Cox; and his great grandchildren, Addilee, Emberly, Elizabeth and Landon.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Dayton - Pace-Stancil Funeral Home (1304 N Cleveland St, Dayton, TX 77535). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 2:30 PM at the San Jacinto Memorial Park (14659 East Fwy, Houston, TX 77015).
