It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Horace Kemper Platt (Dayton, Texas), born in Austin, Texas, who passed away on August 23, 2019, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Werth Platt and Violet Marybelle Johnson; and his siblings, Susan Gaines and Robert "Bobby" Ceder. He is survived by: his wife Rose Carlene Allen Platt of Dayton; his sons, Dewayne Platt (Melissa) and Tommy Platt; his sisters, Betty Jean Purvis, Bonnie Depratter and Mary Ann Banks; his grandchildren, Christopher, Paige, Brittany, Rachel and Paiten; and his great grandchildren, Aria, Noah, Elana and Abigail. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
