He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward R. Green and Katherine "Katy" Simmons Green; his former wife Minnie Jean "Granny" Green; his wife Georgia M. Green; and his son Herbert G. Green, Jr.. He is also survived by his six granddaughters, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
