It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eddie Lee Hector Sr. of Dayton, Texas, who passed away on February 1, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest (Bertha Upchurch Hector) and Beeville; his wife Barbara LaVonne Hector; his grandson Zechariah Loren Hector; and his siblings, Ernest T. "Sonny" Hector, Margie Billings, Bertha Jean Holubec, Freddie Hector and Shirley Dial.
He is survived by: his children, Karen L. Springer (Kevin), Eddie Lee Hector Jr. (Virginia) and Justin Loren Hector Sr.; his grandchildren, Will Hector, Kati Woolwine, Kayla Springer, Kaitlin Springer, Justin Hector Jr., Jonathan Hector and Jayda Hector; and his great grandchildren, Madi, Paisleigh, Cooper, Henli, Gunner and Harli. He is also survived by numerous Nieces and Nephews and other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Sterling Funeral Homes - Dayton (602 N Main St, Dayton, TX 77535). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at the Linney Cemetery (399 N Colbert St, Dayton, TX 77535).
