She is survived by: her brother John Merritt (Michelle) of Anahuac, Texas; her uncles, Charles Merritt (Mary Ann) of Pearland, Mike Merritt of El Dorado and Donald McElvogue (Denise) of Tyler, Texas; her aunt Jeanne McElvogue of Cold Springs, Texas; her nieces and nephews, Christopher Merritt of Anahuac, Katelynn Hennigan (Jacob) of Winnie, Aaron Nash of Mont Belvieu and Trevor Nash of Anahuac, Texas; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Kaylyn, Natalie, Josie Nash of Mont Belvieu, Brentlee and Logan Hennigan of Winnie, Texas. She is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
It is not an exaggeration to say that she made major contributions toward returning Americans to the moon.
