She was predeceased by: her parents, A. T. Smith and Millicent Smith (Nelson); her husband Elwood; her sister Barbara Ann Shipman; her son Wayne Benton; and her grandson Aaron Richeson.
She is survived by: her daughter Millicent Benton (Stacy Steenken) of San Marcos; her grandson Matthew Richeson (Brandi); her great grandchild Wyatt of Granbury, Texas.; her brother-in-law Hervy Shipman; her niece Tina Shipman-Johri; and her nephew Terrill Shipman.
