It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Willie Armstead (Dallas, Texas), born in Marshall, Texas, who passed away on February 4, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his wife Helen Sample; his stepmother Margaret "Nick" Grissom Armstead; his sister Valrie Armstead; his children, Phillip Anthony, Darryl Steven Armstead and Wilma Delores Armstead Harris; his grandson Tramel "Termite" Harris; his siblings-in-law, Beverly Armstead, Margie Sample Johnson, Rev. James Sample, Alfred Sample and Frederick Sample; his children, Clifford Wayne (Esther), Doyle Keith (Gail), Felicia Anita, Bridgette Rochelle and Angelette Rena; his brother Travis Armstead; and his siblings-in-law, Rev. Peggy Sample Williams, Thomas (May) and Mark (Verla). He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Black and Clark Funeral Home (2517 E Illinois Ave, Dallas, TX 75216).
