He is survived by: his wife Laura Cocharo Smith Bachman; his children, Bryan Matthew Smith and Leslie Smith Wells; his grandchildren, Megan Olivia Smith, Christopher Michael Wells, Matthew Jay Wells and Mark William Wells; and his siblings, Jody Bachman, David Bachman, Margie Bachman Mundell and Ellen Bachman Ryder. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and their children.
