He was predeceased by: his parents, Tom Gomez and Mercedes Barajas Gomez; his siblings, Tommy Gomez, Virginia Gomez Bernal, Mario Gomez and Socorro Ibarra; and his brother-in-law David Casas, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Patti Jackson Gomez; his children, Gabriel Gomez (Christina) and Mercedes Castaneda (Dustin); his granddaughter Lorelei; and his siblings, Mary L. Rodriguez (Eli), Theresa Casas, Jesse (Isabel) and Paul Gomez. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Clear Lake United Methodist Church (16335 El Camino Real, Houston, TX 77062).
