She was predeceased by : her parent Bekele Gebrakidan. She is survived by : her mother Zewde Mulugeta; her husband Andrew Jankowiak; her daughters, Sarah and Samrah; and her siblings, Mekonen, Tsehay, Hirut, Rebecca and Chuchu.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 6th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the St. Michael's Ethiopian Orthodox Church (1106 N Jupiter Rd, Garland, TX 75042).
