He was predeceased by: his father John Evans; his siblings, Kim Evans and Anthony Evans; and his son Jermaine Garrett. He is survived by: his mother Birdie Evans; his siblings, Cathy Blakeman and Bruce Evans; his daughter Stephanie Simmons; his grandchildren, Nya, Brandi, Aaliah, Ryan and Isiahja; and his great grandchild Noah "Lil'Man" Kemp.
