It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shawn Samuels of Dallas, Texas, born in San Diego, California, who passed away on October 7, 2023, at the age of 33, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Linda Samuels (Miller); his great-grandparents, John and Clara Tubbs (Alderson); his grandmothers, Carrie Tubbs and Veola Gray; his uncles, Bobby Gray, Thomas Gray, Marvin Gay and Leroy Davis; and his aunt Lois Miller.
He is survived by: his father Ray Charles Samuels; his wife Brooke G. Reid-Samuels of Dallas, TX; his children, Klayton Reid, Maddison Reid and Kamdon Mosely of Dallas, TX.; his siblings, Demarcus Miller, Ray Charles Jr. (Nettie) of Dallas, TX, Alfonso Hampton, Ray Samuel III of San Diego, CA and Myieka Laverne of Houston, TX; his grandfather Anderson Miller of El Dorado, AR.; and his aunts and uncles, James Gray, Freddy Miller, Billy R. Miller, Minister Robert Miller of El Dorado, AR, Shirley William Nettie of San Diego, CA, Clara Miller of El Dorado, AR and Linda Scott of Camden, AR. He is also survived by nieces, cousins, and other friends.
