She was predeceased by: her parents, Rita Jaquess and Lane Jaquess; and her sister Carolyn Jaquess Long. She is survived by: her brother Tim Jaquess (Marissa) of Monroe, LA; and her close friend Karen Fitzpatrick. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Sammye was a staunch supporter of animal rights and as such, would be appreciative of any memorial donations to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals or any other like-minded organization.
