She was predeceased by: her parents, Cruz Benevidez and Concepcion Benevidez (Guajardo); her stepson John Elias Villagran; her daughters, Rosie Martinez (Jesse), Irma Sanchez (Raymond) and Yolanda Torres; her stepdaughter Mary Hubbard (Ed); her siblings, Cruz, Elias, Luis Benevidez, Margaret Salazer, Martha Perales, Juanita Cason, Concepcion, Casilda Madina and Irene (Real); and her husband Santana Espinoza.

She is survived by: her children, Cruz Torres (Christina), Jean Michael Villagran (Ella) and Abel Villagran (Sandy).
