He is survived by: his children, Rick Eugene Thornton II (Carol Thornton) and Sherri Darlene Thornton; his sisters, Linda Jo Thornton and Donna Gordon; his grandchildren, Heather Thornton, Rebecca James and Chris Compton; his cousins, Walter Thornton, Monica Thornton, Hope Thornton, Connie Sue Green and Nancy Thornton; and also, Pat Thornton, Adam Thornton, Terry Thornton and Teresa Thornton. He is also survived by 2 great grandchildren.
