He was predeceased by: his father Refugio Garza, Sr.; and his grandparents, Gerbacio, Pomposa Toscano and Rebecca Garza. He is survived by: his mother Paula Toscano Garza; his siblings, Laura Garza, Rebecca Garza and Robert Garza (Abby); and his children, Joe Robert, David Lee, George Anthony and Laura Marie Garza. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like to request contributions be made to his children.
