He was predeceased by : his son Donald Ray McDade Sr.; his grandson Donald Ray McDade Jr.; and his siblings, Samuel Paul, John C. Paul, Juanita Freeman and Marie Thomas.

He is survived by : his children, Margaret "Cassandra" Bailey-Davis (Oliver) of Pheonix, AZ, Howard Nickles (Diane) of Waco, TX, Maurice Paul Sr., Ray Willard Paul Jr., Herbert Baronton Paul, Gregory Bernard Paul and Kevin Jay Paul; and his sister Imogene Jones.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 28th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Laurel Land Funeral Home (6300 S R L Thornton Fwy, Dallas, TX 75232). A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 1st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Laurel Land Funeral Home & Laurel Land Memorial Park (6300 S R L Thornton Fwy, Dallas, TX 75232).
