With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Peter Townsend of Dallas, Texas, born in Saint Paul, Minnesota, who passed away on January 23, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Townsend and Mary Stark; and his brother Robert Townsend. He is survived by: his wife Joanna Townsend (Lerner); his children, Pamela Mandt of Dallas and John Townsend (Blake Morandi Townsend) of Wimbledon, England.; and his grandchildren, Luke, Max, Charlotte Townsend, William and Nicholas Mandt.
The family requests that any donation be made to the Dallas Opera, the Santa Fe Opera or the Dallas Symphony Orchestra.
