He is survived by: his wife Barbara Franklin; his sons, Daniel Merritt (Tina Merritt) of Carrollton, TX. and David Franklin (Mandie Franklin) of Mineola, TX.; and his grandchildren, Matthew Merritt and Alyssa Franklin.
