He was predeceased by: his wife Francisca Garcia; his daughter San Juana Mirtala Garcia; and his parents, Jesus Garcia Garza and Agustina Morin. He is survived by: his children, Diana Garcia Cruz, Blanca Garcia, Raquel Garcia, Alba Luz Garcia, John, Roel and Jesus Garcia; and his sisters, Blanca Estela Garcia, Maria Martinez, Margarita Garcia, Maria De La Luz and Angelica Garcia. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren.
