She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert S. Coleman and Cora Coleman; her husband Milton Penny; her siblings, Robert Joe, Clifford, Bobby, Willie Mae and Dorothy; her children, Deborah Ann and Stephen Wayne; and her daughter-in-law Dalinda Penny.

She is survived by: her children, David Penny and Pamela Coker (Joe); her granddaughter Sara Chatman (Jake); her sister-in-law Dorothy Duncan; and her close friend Vernice Penny. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
