She was predeceased by: her parents, Gilbert E. Peterson and Cecile Peterson; her sister Mavis Alexander; her brother-in-law Bill; her brother Gil Peterson; and her sister-in-law Kit Peterson.

She is survived by: her spouse Doak Walker; her children, Laurie Walker Hunt (Lyle Halback), Kris Walker Wolcott (Paul), Russ Walker (Lisa) and Scott Walker (Deanna); her grandchildren, Jason Wolcott, Lindsay Wolcott Brown (Tim Brown), Ryan Wolcott (Megan), Doak Walker, Zachary Walker (Lauren), Rachel Walker and Chase Walker; her great grandchild Ellison Brown; and her nieces and nephews, Pete Peterson, Karen Peterson, Nancy Peterson, Kim Baird Elmore, Rebecca Baird Lewis and Jenny Baird Williams.
