With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Michael Clardy Barnett (Plano, Texas), who passed away on February 13, 2023 at the age of 39. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his children, Robert Hector (RH), Clardy Ruth and Dorothy Diana (Dot); his wife Jessica Dunn; his parents, Mike Barnett and Susie Barnett; his sister Megan Barnett Filgo (Jonathan); his nieces and nephews, Royal and Bendy; his siblings, Mary Dunn and Matt Dunn (Danielle); and his niece Lily.

A COVID-inspired hobby, learning to make tortillas from scratch, led to Michael co-founding a second restaurant, Odelay, in April 2022.

Memorials may be directed to Young Life (http://www.younglife.org), the Belong Disability Ministry at HPUMC (http://www.hpumc.org) where gifts can be made in memory of Michael and in honor of RH, as well as Casa Colina.
