She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Story and Iola Story; her son Fred DeWayne Hart; her siblings, Sid, Mike Story and Marvel Gray; and her great grandchild Haley Kemp.
She is survived by: her children, Verna Hart Ness (Karl) of Mabank, TX and G. Bruce Hart (Ginger) of Midland, TX. She is also survived by four granddaughters, and seven great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, Melba would appreciate a donation to one her two favorite charities, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to Shiloh Terrace Baptist Church in Mesquite, TX.
