He was predeceased by: his parents, John B. Marshall and Catherine B. Marshall; and his siblings, John, Catherine, David, Frank, Donald, Benedict and Paula.
He is survived by: his wife Elinor P. Marshall (Ellie); his children, Ann Marshall of Dallas, TX, Tim Marshall (Michele), Geoff Marshall (Tess) of Nashville, TN and Chris Marshall (Cathy) of St. Louis; his grandchildren, Sean Marshall, Kelly Jordan (Matt), Reid Marshall and John Marshall (Callee); and his great grandchildren, Kinsley, Kallie, Kayden and Kodi Jordan. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
