She was predeceased by: her parents, Milton, Sr. Gilmore and Julia Adeline Brown Gilmore; her siblings, Leola, Iona, Loraine, Dennis and Milton, Jr.; and her grandsons, Derrick Jackson and Roderick Jackson.
She is survived by: her children, Verna, Addie (Darobie), Albert (Lois), Donald, Mitchell (Rosemary) and LaNell; and her sister Bobbie Smart. She is also survived by grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In Lieu of flowers... The family of the late Mae Belle Jackson has requested memorial donations to be made to the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Dallas.
